Actually, before the article hits print tomorrow morning I'll share our weekend results here. As you can see things went pretty well for my little harriers. All results from Tiffin can be found on baumspage.

The Van Wert Middle School Girls and Boys competed at the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival over the weekend finishing a respectable 11th and 13th in two races that featured a combined 91 teams.
The Girls squad was led to their 11th place finish by Jacey Eikenbary 37th, Leah Brubaker 41st, and Andrea Foster 43rd. The scoring for the Cougar girls was rounded out by Taylor Whitcraft 147th, and Kelsey Wagner 148th. Also running in the Top-7 race were Karlyn Koontz 158th and Clair Butler 159th.
“The girls really stepped up to the competition today!” said Coach Brendon Moody. “I was pleased at how we continued to move up through out the race and never seemed to lose our competitive edge.”
On the boys side, Van Wert was led once again by Treig Pierce 33rd. Kase Schalois 50th, Spencer Prichard 106th, Jacob Boroff 117th, and Jacob Hoverman 139th, rounded out the scoring with season best performances. Garrett Freeman 147th and Noah Edwards 206th also competed in the Top-7 race for the boys.
“The guys are capable of so much more than what they showed today. Fortunately for us, even on an off day we were able to come out with a respectable finish.”
