Walking all over me...

(our camera sucks, not to mention my skin still hates me from last night)
On the right side of my upper thigh/lower hip are the foot prints of Brynleigh (Dash) and Myles. About 6 weeks ago I inked up their feet in an effort to get the most realistic picture of what their feet look like so to replicate it on my thigh/hip. Last night I finally got the tattoo that I've wanted for a long time.

When Myles was born I wanted to get his hand print somewhere, but it never happened, so when Bryn came along I knew I wanted to incorporate her as well. What if we have more kids? Who knows, I deal with that when the time arrives.

For those wondering why I just don't carry a picture of my kids with me rather than get inked up, I'll let you know that my kids mean the world to me and a picture doesn't do them justice in my eyes. I can now carry a part of them with me forever. I love my kids and my wife (no tat of her) more than anything in this world and my new ink will reassure that in me everyday.

New Ink

My new tat will be up by this evening. Looks good (I'm sort of biased though).

Last day of Summer

Today was the last day of my summer vacation as I start back to school tomorrow. It seems like each year the summers get shorter and shorter, and school starts earlier and earlier. I think it should be a national law that you can't start school before Labor Day and you have to end before Memorial Day, but that's just my opinion.
I started off my day with a 20 mile run with Maus, Dickman, Bagley, and Reedo Shockopeedo. Maus and I did 20, Dickman 16, Bagley 3 (don't know what was up there), and Reedo rode his bike all 20 with Jason and I. It was nice to have a large group out there this morning. As Jason pointed out, it goes by so much faster when you run with someone other than yourself. By the way, make sure you wish Jason a Happy 30th Birthday!!!

After the run, Kylee, Myles, Bryn, and I went over to Ft. Wayne to spend time with her grandma. Grammy celebrated her birthday today, so we went over there for a few hours and swam in the pool. Myles and Bryn both crashed in the car on the way home.

I spent some time mowing the lawn while I grilled out for Ben and Tracy Collins, one last summer hurrah in the White Ghetto. Both Ben and I, along with our neighbor Mr. Mac are back to the grindstone tomorrow morning. Mac teaches 7th Grade Social Studies and Ben is the new 7th Grade Sp. Ed Teacher.

Running2manymiles.com

As many may know, I log my runs pretty religiously on running2win. Dickman and I were just talking this morning about how many studs there are now logging on the site. It used to be that you could make the top 20 list with about 85-90 miles. Recently it seems that 90 miles makes you look like a real puss!

I've never been a big mileage whore, but it seems that what drives my weekly totals is trying to get on to that top twenty list. The past 7 days I ran 93 miles and wouldn't you know it, it takes 94 to get on the list. I'm half tempted to go out and run another mile right now and log it just to get on the list. Then again, I'm sure it would take 95 to get on the list.

I'm cool with not being on the list as long as my training is going well, which it is. Those of you on the top 20 list, most of whom I know, keep racking up the miles you mileage whores and I'll always be one or two miles behind you and hopefully one or two seconds ahead of you at the finish (but again, maybe not)!

Phreak

5 for 5 with 3 to go. The dude is either super-human or some type of genetic phreak. Regardless, I hope that within the next two-weeks there isn't any drug scandal crap that surrounds his ridiculous accomplishments.
SIMPLY AMAZING!

Toot Toot Chuga Chuga...

Wiggles mania hit the Moody household today. Myles was psyched up about the concert all day long and the evening lived up to all the hype.

Kylee and Myles picked me up from work a little after 4:00 so that we could go out to eat. We went to Applebee's up near Memorial Coliseum. During dinner Myles decided to wet his pants and we were without a spare change of cloths. I took off to Kohl's to get him some new duds and got back in time to finish my salad and dessert.

After supper we rushed over to the Coliseum, got parked, and headed inside to find our seats. Once we got in, the crowd was crazy with screaming kids and adults that really didn't seem to care. I have to admit, it was everything that I expected. Of course we had to pick up a few souvenirs. Myles got a T-shirt and a new Wiggles back pack.

The show was very entertaining for all three of us. The highlight of the show for us was when Anthony Wiggle (the blue guy) came in to the audience and Myles got to give him a High-Five. It was a great night. The sad thing is that Myles will probably never remember this evening, but Kylee and I will, and we will be able to tell him how much fun he had.

3 Wiggles Tickets- $138
Wiggles T-shirt- $17
Wiggles Back pack- $20
Dinner for 3- $25
Seeing Myles in awe of the Wiggles- Priceless

Tomorrow is my birthday

Tonight is Birthday-Eve. I shall hang up my birthday suit in hopes that all my birthday wishes come true! I've taken tomorrow off from work and will hang out with the kiddies and go work on my classroom for the upcoming school year. I also have a 12:30 apt. with the tattoo parlor. New ink on my birthday. What is it? Check back tomorrow to see some pics. We also have our Semi-final church league softball game tomorrow night and hopefully we can stay in the winners bracket so that we can win twice tomorrow night and wrap up this god-for-saken long season. Off to bed!

Nothing new

Same ole stuff, just a different day...

Running, hanging with the kids, and sleeping. That sums it up. Nothing exciting to add! Stay tuned.
