So I've been slacking off a lot lately. I haven't made time to blog on a regular basis this year and don't know if it will get any better. Regardless, I'll catch you up to date on a few things.
January ended up being a very successful month for my training, ending with 299.75 miles. I'm sure I could have run another 400 somewhere along the lines to hit 300 for the month, but it wasn't meant to be. I've been lifting on a regular basis, three days a week and only missed one scheduled lift in January. Feb. is not off to a great start (lifting wise). I ended the month with a solid 17 miler on the treadmill. 5 mile warm up then 10 miles alternating between 5:30 (current marathon pace) and 6:30 pace and then tacked on two more easy miles for a cool down. Considering all the weather I was pleased with my January.
Kids: Myles is doing great with his speech therapy and continues to progress daily. We are worried he is progressing too fast as he has become a human tape recorder. I need to watch my sailor talk. Bryn is walking!!! 9 months and walking all over the place. It is pretty impressive.
I'm pretty jacked for Boston to get here. Pretty close to 70 days now. We have a great hotel room really close to the finish line so that way Ky and the kids won't have to be too far away from necessary amenities. I'm looking forward to having them at the finish. My Alaska trip is also one month closer and track season is around the corner.
My fall marathon will be the Chicago Marathon (pray for good weather) and I booked my hotel this morning. I should be able to get in to the Top 100 program which will allow me a better starting position. That's it for now.
